If you are looking to connect to your MySQL database from a remote location, this is
what you need to do:
Login to your cPanel using your username & Password
Navigate to Databases, Remote MySQL
Under HOST, enter the static IP address
Under Comment, you can add something to remind yourself what this connection is
for.
Click on ADD HOST
Done
Now you should be able to access your MySQL database remotely! Just ensure you
are setup to access using the username & password you have setup for that
database and utilize port 3306
